Hi, I’m Emily Foran

For more than 20 years, I've helped organizations communicate complex ideas through thoughtful design, visual storytelling, and audience-centered communications. My work spans brand identity systems, websites, reports, educational resources, campaigns, exhibits, and illustrations developed in collaboration with nonprofits, public agencies, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and mission-driven businesses.

Prior to going solo, I worked for agencies in San Francisco including Better World Advertising, where I led the design team on over 100 public service campaigns for government clients including the CDC, FDA, and Office for Civil Rights. These days, I work from a little house in the big woods in Maine where my patient husband and I are regularly outmaneuvered by our tween daughter and rescue pup.

I work directly with my clients and also collaborate with companies to provide freelance support; please contact me for availability.
